Trstenik - At Boyana’s grand parents’ (Vardarski), Macedonia

A coloured army had sprung up from the earth’s guts and was now invading the garden. We had decided to protect our fenced kingdom, scrupulously eating the red and juicy flesh of the invaders. On their end, bees were playing the organic scavengers, they were enjoying the taste of the corpses left on the battle field.

From inside cultures, people and countries, Léon wants to reflect the world as it is. With and without lines, Léon tries not to lie about what he sees and lets know what people express, and what landscapes tell.
