A l’aube du nouveau monde, les églises avaient rassemblé les pensées indécises que la souffrance engendrait, celles qui, irrémédiablement, s’en remettaient aux pouvoirs surnaturels pour guérir les maux qu’ici-bas on ne cessait d’entretenir. Aujourd’hui, perchées dans des sanctuaires de granits, elles redoraient les places des villages, abandonnées au milieu de l’Histoire que les doutes du présent faisaient revivre le temps d’un instant.

At the dawn of the new world, churches had gathered the indecisive thoughts that the pain was causing, the ones that, irremediably, were relying on the supernatural powers to heal the ill healths that here on earth one was keeping on going. Nowadays, hanging in granite sanctuaries, they were regilding the villages’ squares, abandoned in the middle of History that the present’s doubts were making alive again just for one moment.

From inside cultures, people and countries, Léon wants to reflect the world as it is. With and without lines, Léon tries not to lie about what he sees and lets know what people express, and what landscapes tell.
